Sumatra Earthquake  Reply with quote

Our prayers are with all those are dead, injured or homeless in the terrible events of the Sumatra Earthquake, including earthquake damage and the resulting tsunamis. The earthquake recorded 9.0 on the Richter scale.

The largest earthquake in 40 years caused considerable damage in initial tremors and at least 26,000 have died in the Indian Ocean tsunamis that hit low-lying areas, especially around the Indian subcontinent.

The death toll now exceeds the death toll of the first atomic bomb dropped on Japan. Equally sad day. This shows that the power of nature can be truly devastating. My sympathies to all those who have suffered.

Thanks.

Official death toll stands over 125,000 and could rise a lot lot more with the spread of disease.

My sympathies also. Crying or Very sad
