So that would be a vote for "Other Limited Liability Companies".
Are S-Corps a U.S. thing? Are there any similar systems for other countries?Related Category:

Re: Best Ownership Type
Yes, S Corp is a corporate business filing status in the US with the benefit of avoiding double taxation. The corporation itself is not taxed on revenue, only the persons (sharholders) receiving that revenue are taxed at the personal level. Other countries may have a similiar filing status to encourage growth of the smaller companies. The limit used to be 75 shareholders, but currently it is limited to 35 shareholders or less.Related Category: _________________ Editor Eric Arts: Design Business: Marketing_and_Advertising

It is when they mispend the money. In New Zealand they flick 3 quaters of a million towards BBC World and politicians get some exemptions from tax for the rest of their life!Related Category:

It is shocking that politicians should be exempt,as they surely should be setting an example. Related Category:
It wasn't from income tax, as I recall. After all, politicians don't get paid enough to pay that much income tax. It was GST exemptions or reductions from certain goods and services: flying in aircraft, for example.Related Category:

I find that hard to believe.
In New Zealand the Prime Minister gets a nice $150,000...
compared to $180,000 for a newsreader at TVNZ that works a one-hour day with 30 minutes newsreading and $800,000 for a newsreader that attends a mid-afternoon content meeting and then reads the news for 60 minutes (28 minutes of reading, of which 10 minutes is in front of the camera).
Instead they get all sorts of freebies, payouts, tax exemptions on transport, the right to illegallly speed on the motorway with police escort, etc. Related Category:
