Genre Discussion  Reply with quote

What is your favourite video game genre? Do you prefer RPGs, shooters, or action games? Why? A list of genres can be seen here: Games/Video_Games/

I prefer the roleplaying genre. I always enjoy a good RPG where you can really get your teeth into the story and characters. Very Happy

Although I'm primarily a roleplaying game fan, I'm enjoying my simulation games. Designing and running theme parks is what I'm doing at the moment (a la RollerCoaster Tycoon 2).

Intelligent first person shooters and real-time strategy games. Like Half-Life and Starcraft respectively.

Thanks.

It is honestly amazing how they can turn that into a video game several times over. Surprised Rolling Eyes Wink

Yeah, there are three games in the RollerCoaster Tycoon series now... and there are plenty other similar games, such as Theme Park.

And yet it seems the most unlikely idea for a video game. Confused

I personally was put off anything sims after the original version of The Sims, which I got for my birthday, crashed our computer. We lost everything on it - including homework and important documents. I had SimCity 2000 as well, but didn't play it much after that. As for The Sims - I couldn't ever make use of my main birthday present. I never did dare try Sims ThemePark.

Crying or Very sad

(Bad experience with those Simms...Some yrears ago ,my computer was in realy bad shape and I constantly lost all kind of stuff and I started storing data on CD's;I still do that now...)
Personaly ,I am a 3Dshooter fan ,but I only play now and then ;In exchange ,Minesweeper is what I play more often ;maybe it also helps keep the mind in shape. Wink

Has someone ever tryed to play online?

I love it, it isn't important the genre, the best things is to play with (or against) other people. A computer is too stupid! Very Happy
