Organization: Is It Important?

Personal organization is the planning and co-ordination or one’s life, especially one’s limited economic means of skills, money and time. An important aspect of personal organization is to be able to use these economic means effectively.

Some people spend a large amount of time and money organizing their life. They hire life coaches to manage their life, psychologists to manage their mind and secretaries to manage their time. They organize their lives according to strict schedules and follow repetitive organized daily patterns. They organize their homes and workplaces. Some people spend so long organizing that they do not actually do anything and simply procrastinate about given tasks.

How important is organization?

If i need something doing i do it, ive never realy thought about it the way you have.

I think you will find it is people with big money and no get up and go that have other people running around after them,it makes them feel important ahhhhh Wink

I like to keep myself fairly organised. I need to know that my English work is there and my Maths work is there, and that topic has already been assessed, and that bit of work won't be looked at again until the exams, etc. Studying would be impossible without organization.

Well i guess that organization is pretty important but,i mean....i'm not the person who can organize anything....i am a very messy person....i always am late for something, i really can't keep my home organized(clean),for example : if i have a deadline for some work..i always do it on the last minute.....that's me!.....and i know that it would be much easier if i started earlier doing what i have to do, but still i don't!....it's incredible sometimes! Confused

At 55 years I'm embarassed to admit that I need someone to come in and organize my life. I'm close to retirement and haven't done the necessary things. School does not teach "Money 101". We aren't taught to balance a checkbook or why we need a budget or what records we need to keep and how to file them etc etc. The "News" puts out reports on our graduating college students that touts their prowess in the world of academics and then in the next sentence laments their unpreparedness to "live" in the real world. Because they can't balance checkbooks and pay debt and rent places to live.(wisely rent them) Not all end up in my position but .... So at 55 years I'm looking for resources to help me pull myself together so I can not worry so much in my retirement years.

That might verry well be the organization of your unorganization at the moment ,it's a start . It is never too late , it's just harder.
