No - and I'm not really familar with the idea because nobody I know does either. I can certainly see a certain argument towards unschooling and it could be linked with the whole argument of social confirmity and alienation from society because of non-conformity, which are ironically the very things we are taught to appreciate at school.
However, there are certainly some benefits to strict discipline in formal education in terms of how it may grow one's character, but once again it is what is desirable, suitable and expected is chosen by society. At the very least, it may be said that formal education does provide us with many opportunities to discover ourselves.
Hmm... sounds like a real nail-biter. It would be very interesting to hear the views of others and perhaps even hear of someone who does "unschool"?Related Category:

Well ,I don't "unschool" either and I agree with you ;besides that , don't u think that non-conformity(at some level) may lead to a larger variety of individuals ?!
I am also interested on hearing the opinion of someone ho is "unschooling".Related Category: _________________ andrei(the antenna used to be shinyer)

Yes. Schools teach us to conform, and yet also, ironically, teach us not to give in peer pressure to conform. Related Category:

That is correct ,but as in any other topic ,there are more aspects to be discussed ;for example besides school ,the education that parents are supposed to give their descendents has,I'd say ,a huge importance ,maybe more than school itself at somepoint .Related Category: _________________ andrei(the antenna used to be shinyer)
