Moon-Landing: Was it real?  Reply with quote

With the moon-landing conspiracy theory, many are doubtful the famous NASA moon-landing really took place. The well-known conspiracy documentary some years ago on television persuaded many with some quite strong evidence that the landing never took place, but NASA has been able to explain why many of these things occured.

Do you believe the moon-landing ever took place, or do you think it was just a big cover-up?

I find it hard to believe it was a conspiracy. I'm pretty sure it happened. Smile

I think a greater point than whether it was real is did it make people happy. Life was automated back then, everything was 'classic' as the media likes to put it. There was not as much chaos as there is today, and personally I can't stand doing the same thing over and over again. If the moon landing was fake, appearantly the government realized this and did it to spice things up a bit. TO THE MOON. Someone a few years before the moon landing would not believe it possible to drive more than 60 miles per hour, let alone leave the atmosphere.
I don't think we should care if the moon landing was real, but rather that it led to some events that are happening today.

Radix - you have a point. I suppose technological advances run in spirals or dominoes, with each leading to another.

I think it was real, but the question seems to be is whether the government should be allowed to cover up things. For example, there have been many instances where the government has covered up events in history. Since the government should be "for the people by the people", covering up anything should be a punishable crime not permitted at all levels. When governement forgets it purpose, and acts on its own behalf..it is called Tyranical. Evidence has been showing for many years that the government acts on its own behalf instead of the people represented. How to solve this problem has been in the works for many years.

All governments engage in all kinds of "not for the peoples interrests" actions and try to cover them up afterwords;we have no chance of ever knowing anything but what they want us to know.

It is questionable. the main question is would it be possible to fake., and if it was then it is quite likely we'll never know.

I agree. As we are taught in history class, what actually happens isn't important, but rather what people think happens.

True.

It is questionable indeed. There is a show made by Dicovery that explains all the issues and "facts". You people can dl it for sure as i 've see it online.

The bottom line is that with the current technology here is no way you can get out of space "that far" - to the moon that is.

hmmmm

Relying on one source for information about the moon landing is a bad idea. In the end I suppose it really doesn't matter to those of us downunder. Wink

I think it matter a lot. It's crucial to know the true .. whatever that will be.. and anyway .. it's all subjectiv.

But whether or not some North American country landed their high-tech space gadgets on the moon, manned by their strongly-accented capitalist astronauts with republican sponsorships, doesn't really matter to some left-wing, out-their, unreal, uninterested group of people with an Australian-owned economy who live on a couple of small beautiful Pacific Islands with a couple of cows and a few million sheep.
