A. Essential. I take every precaution needed and I never dry my dishes with a tea towel.
B. Very important. I never leave food out. I always make sure things are cooked. I always use seperate cutting boards.
C. Important. I'm aware of the issue and do my best to prevent food poisoning. I wash my hands before touching food and use my freezer.
D. Not very important. I usually wash my hands before touching food. I don't see the point in going overboard.
E. A non-issue. I've never been poisoned by food and cleaning my hands every time I touch food is just pointless. Chuck something in the freezer and it will keep for a year or two.Related Category:Recreation/Food/Food_Safety/

Re: Food Safety: Important?
A clear list in not on my mind right now ,but besides basics like washing hands ,checking the expiration dates on stuff and keeping food in the freezer ,my problem is that here people that work in the food business do not respect the hygene regulations or should I say the common good sense rules when handleing the customers food .This turns sometimes into a frustration of the man who fights the wind mills.Related Category: _________________ andrei(the antenna used to be shinyer)

I often find that food businesses have poorer food standards than most homes. Related Category:

My grandmother, instead, is nearly hung up for food safety; she wash everything: also the fruits with the skin (like the oranges) with the bicarbonate Related Category: _________________ I know, my English is very Bad Tutto gratis -Webmaster? Earn with your website

Yes, but you can eat the apples' skin.
But have you ever eat the oranges' skin? I think it's too exaggerated.Related Category: _________________ I know, my English is very Bad Tutto gratis -Webmaster? Earn with your website

"They" say that on an apple there are over 500 000 types of germs, including over 10 000 rank 2 germs that can really hurt you.
Now that thing with the number of germs i really didn't know....but i always wash the fruits i eat...not oranges....but the fruits i eat entirely...+ wash my hand before eating...always...(for a certain reason..those 500.000 germs!) Related Category: _________________ Georgia
