We should care first for quality then the price ,maybe you have already heard the saying "we are to poor to buy cheap things" .Concerning the other considerations in the poll ,I think a discussion on a much larger scale whould lead to a conclusion .

It would appear that one's conscience isn't the dominating factor here. I'm quite surprised. Surprised

Well ,do you take into consideration all of these factors - in the order that the conscience dictates - every time you shop around ?

Wouldn't life be too difficult if we'd try to select all of the things we buy regarding their provenience(wich we wouldn't know anything about) .
So you know where I stand ,I think every minute of work any services should be payd and/or rewarded ,but people can take care of themselves ,in anycasebetter than animals can.

Pretty much everything is made in Economic Zones in China. I feel sorry for the poor people that work there, but I know it is better than not having a job.

Why is it that they never show animals being mistreated or workers starving at low pay when they advertise their products? Are they not as honest as they like to think?

Icurite on your last point about poor workers. The past year in the EU has seen a massive reduction in the price of t-shirts because of the workers in the east being exploited. But because big business in the EU are not getting a share of the profits from these t-shirts,the EU parliament are looking into whether or not they can impose tarrifs to stop the t-shirts influx to the EU.

NOT BECAUSE OF EXPLOITATION BUT BECAUSE BIG BUSINESS AINT GETTING A SHARE IT'S A CRAZY WORLD WE LIVE IN Confused

Sure is. Crying or Very sad

BTW, I live in a part of the "East" that has a pretty high quality of life. Here in New Zealand we try to stay clear of talking about the "east" and "west" generalizations, especially since the USA and Europe are the "east" from our perspective. Wink

well for me quality comes first....but there are products that are of a lower quality than expected and are very expensive!(and people tend to think that a higher price means a better quality)...so u never really know....
but how do you know when a product is of good quality....???
for instance: which is better.....Clinique or Nivea?....both are cosmetics....both very popular but prices are considerably different!.....Clinique cosmetics are more expensive.....but theoretically these two brands can use the very same substances to make their products!
so the consumer buys the name of the brand not the quality! if things are like this....(it's just an ideea) Wink
