Sports Fanatics Wanted

Are you a sport fanatic? Are you the type of person who enjoys explaining the rules to others? Do you enjoy researching sports? Do you enjoy sports statistics? If so, we welcome you to join the Open-Site Community and share your knowledge in sports with the world.

Donâ€™t think you have the time? Open-Site editing is done on a pace-yourself method and there are no deadlines to meet. You work as much or as little as you would like.

Open-Site is always looking for new volunteer editors to help in the sports categories. Check out the sports page at http://open-site.org/Sports/ and see if you can find a category that suits you. A link at the bottom of each sports page will take you to the application for that sport.

If you do not see the sport that you would like to edit, post a message here and a new category will be created for you.

Hey,I've bin skateboarding for 4 years(I am 24) ,and as these years passed by it got me hooked even moore ;for me i'ts not a sport ,whatever the mental or phisycal effort it involves ,by this I mean the idea is not "I'm gonna work-out for a few hours" .Now,having this uncovered ,I'm not sure how much of an editor I'd make?!

The idea of what is a "sport" and what is not a "sport" has totally changed in recent years. Anything that requires some degree of physical activity and competitiveness, or even just competitiveness, is considered a sport: eating hot dogs and playing chess, for example. Shocked

I also personally agree that skateboarding is not really a sport. Wink

Um, how is skateboarding not a sport? Hello...Extreme sports there, buddies. Tony Hawk is prime example.

Hey !

If you like soccer there is anoustanding online fantasy game for it.
Some sweden guys did the engine and is running for some time now.

I have a team there for a bout two years. It's a fantastic comunity. There are already over half a mill of teams.
It's called hattrick. Sign up - it's like the real thing.

This is not advertising as I don't have any advantages if you people signup to get a team or anything.. and I've never been to sweeden coz it's fryking cold... so don't delete my post Very Happy

I have been skateboarding for some time but i don't do much of those tricks....i like it and i think that's enough for me to continue doing it!

Tony Hawk is one of the examples...but hello!!!!....Rodney Mullen!!!! that's like the nr 1 i mean i don't have something against Tony Hawk...but Mullen did and does tricks that still nobody can do!...i think that's something!
